Example (b. 20 June 1982 as Elliot John Gleave) is a British singer and rapper currently signed to Data Records. He sung vocals employ stylistic elements similar to that of 1970s Blues music. After signing a deal in April 2006 with The Beats, Example put out a response to Lily Allen's No.1 hit "Smile" entitled "Vile" and received Radio 1 airplay from Zane Lowe, Jo Whiley and Chris Moyles. Say Nothing was launched on 16 Sept 2012, weighing #2 in the UK mid week maps on 19 Sept. On the 8 Oct 2012 Example launched it clip for 'Close Enemies' stay on YouTube. He was Born at a Western London, UK medical center in Hammersmith, the older of two kids, and joined All Team Primary University in Fulham. He later went on to be present at ADT Higher education (now Ashcroft Technological innovation Academy) in Wandsworth. He has stated in discussions that the main reason he began rapping was due to his release to hip-hop through collections by Wu-Tang Group and Sneak Dogg – the latter's record bought mainly for "the awesome protect art".
