The Vaccines are an English indie rock band which formed in London in 2010.Their debut album,"What Did You Expect from the Vaccines?" was released in March 2011 and reached number 4 in Uk ranked. the band consisted of Justin Young,Jay Pistolet, Arni Hjörvar,Freddie Cowan and Pete Robertson.The band was initially formed by Young and Cowan in the Summer of 2009 with a third member who soon left.The band released their debut single "Wreckin' Bar (Ra Ra Ra)" / "Blow It Up", in the UK, which was limited to 1000 copies and released on Marshall Teller Records in November 2010.The band also performed live on Later with Jools Holland, the first band ever to do so before releasing a single.

On 23 April 2012, Justin Young said that the band had already recorded "six or seven" songs, and the record will be released "after summer, when we're ready." He added that the new album will be "more intimate and close" than their debut. He also said that he considered the band to be a pop band in a rock'n'roll format, saying, "I think we've always from day one wanted to write pop songs, write the kind of songs we listen to. Pop seems to be a dirty word but we don't think it should be."

On 28 May 2012, the song "No Hope" was uploaded to the bands' YouTube page, and has also been made available for pre-order on iTunes. The video for their second single, "Teenage Icon", was uploaded on 18 July, and will be released on 3 September. The Vaccines' second album will be called Come of Age and is also due for release on 3 September 2012 in the UK.
